나에게 선택이란
가장 가까운 것, 가장 쉬운 것,
가장 좋은 것을 얻기 위함이 아니었다.
언제나 좋은 결과로 이어진 것은 아니었지만,
선택하지 못한 것을 제하면 잘못된 선택이란 것은 없었다.
의지가 내 마음 밖의 세상에 나온 것만으로도 선택의 의미는 충분한 것이었다.

For me, choosing was not for getting what was closest, easiest, or best.
My choices have not necessarily led to good outcomes,
but there was no wrong choice except not making a choice.
The meaning of choice was sufficient just because the will had come into the world outside my mind.
