낯선 길은 두려움이다. 인적이 없는 숲은 두려움과 동시에 외로움이다. 낮은 억새의 바람소리도 으르렁 거리는 신음소리처럼 들린다. 밝은 햇살은 조금도 위안이 되지 않는다. 오히려 바람과 어른거리는 그림자 때문에 더욱 혼란스럽기만 하다. [하늘-숲 속에 들어서다]

나는 어디서 왔을까... 내가 해외에 있을 때 외국인으로부터 가끔씩 듣는 질문이 있다. "Where are you from?" 그저 입버릇처럼 대답한다. 숲 속에 들어서다 (Wandering in the woods)

그저 떠나는 것을 여행이라 할 수는 없다. 일상과 삶으로부터 완전히 단절되었다면, 그것은 여행이 아니라 이별이라 불리워져야 할 것이다. 여행이란 말이 돌아오는 길에 놓인, 많은 그것을 의미했던 것인지도 모르겠다. 내 여정의 목적지는 언제나 나 자신이었다. - - - * Closing the journey 2 Just departing could not be called a journey. 삶에서 소중한 것들은 모두 무료였다. 찬찬히 보니, 그것들은 사람이 만든 돈으로 지불할 필요가 없는 것이었다. 거래의 조건은 간단했다. 물질은 물질로, 비물질은 비물질로... 그러니, 육체의 행복은 육체를 움직여서, 마음의 행복은 마음을 움직여 지불한다. 하지만 실제로는, 대부분의 것들이 무료였다. 소중한 것과 그에 대한 지불은 서로 다른 것이었다. - - - * Life is free Everything precious in life was free.
