오페라가수의 꿈을 접고, 35년간 빵을 굽던 마틴은 직장을 잃고, 거리음악가로 다시 새로운 삶을 시작한다. 

그리고 그 다음해 "Holland's Got Talent(2010)"에 나가 우승한다. 생애 첫좌절은 그를 세상 반대편에 갖다 놓았고, 두번째 좌절은 그를 다시 제자리에 갖다 놓은 것이다.
