Oil Paint Filter Troubleshooting!
1-Oil Paint filter can be found in these compatible versions of Photoshop: CS6, CC, CC 2015.1, CC 2015.5+, CC 2017+, CC 2018, CC 2019, CC 2020. and it is missing in versions like CS5 and below, CC 2014, CC 2015.
Check if the Oil Paint filter is in the Filter menu, or under Stylize menu Filter> Stylize.
Make sure that you are using the latest version of Photoshop, or any other Photoshop version that supports the Oil Paint filter.
2-If Oil Paint filter is grayed out, please try these steps:
Make sure that your document is in RGB. From Image> Mode> RGB color. Oil Paint won't work on color spaces other than RGB (e.g. CMYK, Lab, etc.)
If you’re on Windows, make sure you’re running a 64bit windows version with the 64bit Photoshop version. Oil Paint filter requires 64-bit.
Make sure that your video graphics card driver is up to date.
Under Edit> Preferences > Performance, Make sure that Use Graphics Processor is checked.
3-If you have 2 Graphics Cards on your PC.

**Unsupported card series:
The following card series is not officially supported in Photoshop:
AMD/ATI 100, 200, 3000, and 4000 series
Nvidia GeForce 7000, 8000, 9000, 100, 200, 300 series
Older Intel® HD Graphics (for example 2000, 3000, 4000 series) cards
If your graphics card is older than 5 years, GPU functionality in Photoshop may be limited or not supported.
