46억 년 지구 역사에는
무려 다섯 번의 대멸종이 있었으니….
그 시작은 바로 4억 4,500만 년 전에 일어난
오르도비스기 대멸종이었습니다.
지구 역사에서 처음으로 벌어진 이 대량멸절은
해양생물 종의 85%를 골로 보내버렸으며
페름기 대멸종 다음으로
가장 많은 “속(genus)”이 사라진 엄청난 사건이었죠.
