정상우주론을 정적우주론으로 정정합니다. 정상우주론은 우주의 팽창은 인정하지만 빅뱅을 반대하기 위해서 제기된 가설이며, 아인슈타인은 우주가 팽창한다는 사실 자체를 거부했기 때문에 정적우주론을 주장했었고, 우주상수를 등장시켰습니다.
